Turkish Boiled Meatballs – Meatball Soup Recipe
This is the most easy Turkish meatball recipe – meatball soup recipe with super simple ingredients. Compared with traditional deep-fried meatballs, this water boiled version is much easier but quite yummy too.

Ingredients;
- 3 potatoes (diced),
- 1 small size onion (grated),
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste,
- Salt,
- Hot water.
For the meatballs;
- 200 grams ground beef,
- 2 tablespoons of fine bulgur,
- One clove of garlic,
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes,
- 1 teaspoon of thyme,
- Salt.

Prepare the meatballs. In a deep bowl, mix the ground beef, fine bulgur, clove of garlic and spices. Mix gently but thoroughly with your hands to combine.
Take marble size pieces and roll them into your palms. Place the meatballs in to the tray dusted some flour so as not to let them stick. Take a small bowl full of water so as to make your palms wet while rolling the meatballs.
Peel and dice the potatoes. Peel the onion and chop it finely.
Then put the oil and finely chopped onion in a saucepan and cook it until soft and a little golden. Add the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes. Add the diced potatoes and stir. Cover the potatoes with hot water and add salt. Cover and leave it to boil.
After it starts to boil, low the heat, add the meatballs and cook it until the potatoes get tender. When the potatoes are cooked enough, it is ready to serve. Enjoy!
Note: While cooking, add some more hot water, if needed.
