Vanilla Cake with Chocolate Frosting Recipe
This moist and delicious vanilla cake can be frosted with the included chocolate frosting, or use another frosting. Learn how to make vanilla cake with these simple instructions and photos.
For the cake;
- 4 eggs,
- 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar,
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil (100 ml.),
- 1/2 cup of water (100 ml.),
- 2 packets of vanilla (5 + 5 grams),
- 1 packet of baking powder (10 grams),
- 2 1/2 or 3 cups of all-purpose flour (the cup size is 200 ml.).
For the sauce;
- 1 1/2 cups of milk (300 ml.),
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar,
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
For its above;
- Grated coconut flakes.
Process of Vanilla Cake with Chocolate Frosting Recipe;
Prepare the vanilla cake mixture. Mix the eggs and granulated sugar by mixer until the mixture is pale yellow, thick and forms ribbon. Add the vegetable oil and water and mix. Then add the vanilla, baking powder and add the flour gradually and mix them.
Pour the mixture into a large rectangle baking pyrex that is greased. Bake it in the preheated oven at 160°C for 25 minutes. After you remove the cake from the oven, leave it to cool.
Prepare the sauce. Mix all the ingredients you need into a pot and cook it by stirring until it boils. When it boils, remove it from the heat and leave it to cool.
When the cake is cool enough, slice the cake in squares and slice them in half again. You get triangle pieces. Take the cake slices out carefully. Dip the edges of triangle cakes in the sauce. And coat them with coconut.
Leave the triangle cakes for 2 or 3 hours then serve.
Note: By cutting the cake across first and then cutting longitudinally into the big rectangle pyrex, you can get 30 triangle cakes.
