Vegan Chocolate Cake Recipe
When you think about vegan cake, you might think it will be dry, crumbly and somehow inferior to a typical chocolate cake filled with eggs and butter. Well, you’re wrong. This vegan chocolate cake really is the best. It’s rich, fluffy, moist and so easy to make.
- 2 cups of water,
- 1,5 cups of granulated sugar,
- A half cup of vegetable oil,
- 1 packet vanilla (5 grams),
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar,
- 50 grams cocoa powder,
- A pinch of salt,
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda,
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour.
The cup size: 200 ml.
Process of Vegan Chocolate Cake Recipe
For the vegan chocolate cake mixture, mix the water, granulated sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla and vinegar in a deep bowl until the sugar dissolves.
Add the cocoa powder and salt into the mixture and mix.
Finally sift the baking soda and all purpose flour in the mixture and mix well.
Pour the mixture on the baking sheet into the round baking pyrex and spread.
Bake the cake in the preheated oven to 180°C for 35 – 40 minutes.
Please do test if the cake is done by using a toothpick and poke it in the middle to see that it comes out clean.
Every oven is different and cook times may vary a little.
Leave it to cool at room temperature and then sprinkle coconut on your vegan cake.
Slice your cake and serve.
