White Beans with Sujuk Recipe
White beans, also known as white navy beans, offer extraordinary health benefits. They are loaded with antioxidants and provide a good supply of detoxifying molybdenum. They are also a good source of fiber and protein and rank low on the glycemic index.

- 2 cups of dried white beans ,
- 1 medium size onion,
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste,
- 1 coffee spoon of pepper paste,
- 1 pointed green pepper,
- 1 red bell pepper(no matter if you don’t have),
- Sujuk (Turkish sausage) (how much you like), cut in quarters (not too thick slices though),
- 1 cube sugar,
- 2 -3 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
- 4 ,5 cups of hot water (the cup is 200 ml.).
Process of White Beans with Sujuk Recipe
Soak the dried beans in plenty of water overnight.
Next day, when you cook, drain the water.
Then cook by stirring the chopped onion and the peppers in the oil into the pressure cooker until they got lightly brown.
Add the tomato and pepper paste and continue to cook by stirring.
Then add the sujuk slices and add the white beans.
Finally add the salt, cube sugar and water.
Cover the lid.
When it starts to boil at medium heat, make the heat lower and cook for 30 minutes.
At the end of the time, turn off the stove and wait for the pressure release.
Then open and serve the dish hot.
Cooking time can change according to the genus of the beans.
When you soak the beans in plenty of water overnight, 30 minutes are enough for them to get tender.
