White Kidney Beans with Olive Oil Recipe
It is a very delicious white kidney beans recipe that you can serve it before your main dish.
- 500 grams fresh white kidney beans,
- A half cup of live oil,
- 1 onion,
- A half cup of water (to cook the onion),
- 1 medium size potato,
- 1 carrot,
- 1 tomato,
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste,
- 1 teaspoon of sugar,
- 2-3 cloves of garlic,
- 1-2 cups of hot water.
Process of White Kidney Beans with Olive Oil Recipe
Firstly, rinse and drain the white kidney beans and place them in a large saucepan.
Add enough water to cover and leave it to boil.
After it starts to boil, simmer for 10 more minutes and turn off the stove.
Chop the onion and put them into a pot.
Pour a half cup of water and cook.
After the onions absorb the water and get tender enough, add the olive oil and stir.
Then add the diced tomato, paste, diced potato, sliced carrot and cloves of garlic.
After cooking them for 2 minutes add sugar, salt and at the end a cup of hot water.
Cover with the lid and cook for 5 minutes at a low heat.
At the end of the time, add the white kidney bean and stir.
Control the juice level of the dish and add water as needed (almost a cup of water).
Then cover with the lid and cook at a low heat until the diced potatoes and sliced carrots get tender enough.
Sometimes control the dish while cooking.
Serve the dish cold.
While serving the white kidney beans with olive oil, you can sprinkle some chopped parsley and you can decorate the dish with lemon.
