Yummy Banana Cake Roll Recipe

This banana cake roll too good to be true. This cake is spectacular. You can serve it as a dessert after dinner or as a cake with tea.

For the sponge cake;

  • 3 eggs,
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar (not fully),
  • 5 grams vanilla (1 packet),
  • 1 packet of baking powder (10 grams),
  • 1 cup of all purpose flour (the cup is: 200 ml.).

For the cream;

  • 2 cups of milk,
  • 1 packet of vanilla (5 grams),
  • 2,5 tablespoons of all purpose flour,
  • 1 tablespoon of starch,
  • 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar,
  • 1 tablespoon of butter.

For the top;

  • 1 whipped cream powder (75 grams),
  • 1 cup of milk.

To place in;

  • 1 banana.

Process of Yummy Banana Cake Roll Recipe

Firstly, to prepare the cake, mix the sugar and the eggs by using a mixer until foamy.
Add the vanilla, flour and baking powder and mix again.
Pour the cake mixture on a baking sheet in a baking tray.
Bake it in the preheated oven at 170°C until it gets slightly golden for almost 10 minutes.
After baking, immediately loosen cake roll from edges of baking sheet.
Gently pressing with your hands, roll it before it gets cold and dries up (will start breaking).

And leave the cake until you prepare the cream.
To prepare the cream, combine the milk, flour, starch and sugar in a pot.
Cook it by stirring until it gets thick.
When it gets thick add the butter and the vanilla and stir well then turn off the stove.
Leave it to cool by stirring occasionally.

Slowly unroll banana cake roll to prevent from breaking.
Evenly spread the filling throughout the cake roll (make sure to get the edges to avoid dry edges).
Place banana pieces on the cream (cut the banana in four pieces).
And slowly and gently roll back. Cover it with the baking sheet again.
Place the cake in the refrigerator to cool.

Mix the whipped cream powder and the milk until it gets thick.
After the cake gets cool enough, cover the cake with the whipped cream.
Decorate the cake how you desire.

If you have time, make your banana cake roll the day before.
When you leave it in the refrigerator for one night, it will be more delicious.
